Rectron, a leading South African distributor of IT products, has announced the addition of Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) programme to its portfolio, enabling clients to drive their Microsoft cloud business and grow their profitability.
“In a business environment where companies, big and small, are migrating to the cloud, it’s more important than ever for resellers to offer a strong solution to their clients. We’re extremely excited about this addition to our portfolio, as it gives resellers the ability to offer a truly end-to-end pre-packaged solution, backed by Rectron’s reputation of strong support,” says Elaine Wang, Cloud and Software Solutions Director at Rectron.
The introduction of the CSP offers significant value to the South African channel, not only as it increases their access to Microsoft cloud services, but also because it enables them to integrate these services with other cloud services, unlocking additional revenue streams such as configuration, migration and SLAs, all offered on a single invoice.
A game changer for SMBs as well, the programme allows for businesses to pay a monthly fee for their cloud licences instead of the traditional annual fee, freeing up their cash flow.
Often cloud transformation amongst resellers is hindered by the lack of skills to migrate and deploy. However, to assist their transition to the cloud, resellers can outsource their deployment, migration and monitoring services to Rectron’s professional services team, and simply on-bill their customers, freeing them to work on developing the skills they need.
“One of Rectron’s top priorities over the past three years has been the growth of its software and cloud portfolio,” says Managing Director of Rectron, Spencer Chen. “Our recent acquisition of Palladium Business Solutions, together with this important Microsoft appointment, mark an acceleration of our journey, and we look forward to helping the channel transition with us in order to remain profitable in this digital age.”
The distributor’s expanding cloud and software portfolio is available through Rectron’s own RCT Cloud platform. This includes Microsoft cloud services, Palladium ERP software, Microsoft electronic software delivery, Acronis cloud backup, Bitdefender security and Kaspersky security solutions.
“Rectron has proven to be a strong player in the Microsoft cloud space, winning the MEA Cloud Reach Awards in 2015 and 2016. We are now building on our strong foundation and ability to scale to untapped markets in order to grow the Microsoft CSP business,” concludes Wang.
