Dell EMC distributor Drive Control Corporation has launched the Dell Latitude 7000 series of business notebooks, incorporating the 12,5-inch Latitude 7290, 13,3-inch Latitude 7390 and 14-inch Latitude 7490.

The 7000 series laptops, which weigh less than 2kg, ship with 8th Gen Intel Core up to i7 or 7th Generation Intel Core up to i5 processors.

The devices come with either a non-touch HD display or HD touch display which incorporates Microsoft’s Precision Touchpad. The Latitude 7490 and 7390 are also available with optional FHD (1920×1080 16:9) touch displays.

The Latitude 7490 features a lower-power display function which means  it can last up 20 hours on a single charge.

The series offers security features including multi-factor authentication which include optional touch finger print reader, contacted FIPS 201 Smart Card Reader and contactless smart card reader/NFC with advanced Control Vault 2 FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certification.

The Dell Latitude 7000 series offers the following features:

  • Processors – 8th Gen Intel Core Processors up to i7, U Quad Core or 7th Gen Intel Core Processors up to i5, U Dual Core;
  • Memory – DDR4 2400 MHz SDRAM operates at 2133 MHz with Intel 7th Gen processors and DDR4 2400 MHz SDRAM operates at 2400 MHz with Intel 8th Gen processors; one DIMM slot supporting up to 16Gb (Latitude 7290 or Latitude 7390); two DIMM slots supporting up to 32Gb (Latitude 7490);
  • Graphics – Intel HD Graphics 620 (7th Gen Intel Core) or Intel UHD Graphics 620 (8th Gen Intel Core); and
  • Operating System – the 7000 series ships with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64 bit,

The Dell Latitude 7000 series ships with a three-year Next Business Day warranty.
