Zebra Technologies has introduced the ET4x series, including the Android-based ET40 and ET45 tablets, designed to help workers work smarter and faster. Businesses can choose the easy-to-carry 8-inch or 10-inch model for the best viewing of information-rich applications.

The enterprise-grade ET4x series is a general-purpose set of rugged tablets ideal for a wide range of use cases for delivery drivers and fulfillment personnel in transportation and logistics to retail associates performing assisted selling and line busting tasks.

The device enables retailers to further improve the in-store customer experience by providing flexibility and support for multiple point-of-sale (POS) applications, leveraging purpose-built business-class accessories. The payment-ready tablets feature options including tap-to-pay functionality for mobile POS, a new presentation stand for self-service and fixed POS, and a workstation set-up providing a desktop-like experience.

The ET4x series features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera to capture photos for proof of condition and visual in-store merchandising audits, while the 5-megapixel front-facing camera supports video calls that can help save time and reduce errors. An integrated 2D scanner enables fast, accurate data capture of barcodes in virtually any condition for retail price checks and inventory lookups or parcel track and trace. And support for Wi-Fi 6 and 5G ensures connectivity in any environment and increased worker productivity.

The ET4x series of tablets include select Zebra Mobility DNA software tools to optimise workflows, and improve communications and usability for mobile workers. These tools include Mobility Extensions (Mx), which adds powerful enterprise-class security and manageability features to the standard Android operating system and StageNow, which allows businesses to stage a handful or thousands of devices in seconds.
