Rectron has launched a new Zebra Technologies experience centre at its Midrand headquarters, where channel partners and enterprise customers across Africa can experience Zebra Technologies’ technologies in action.
The Rectron Experience Centre demonstrates how technology can address real business challenges, giving customers the opportunity to see, test and understand how Zebra Technologies’ portfolio can support frontline workers and improve operational performance.
The centre brings together a range of Zebra Technologies’ solutions that drive intelligent operations, demonstrating how businesses can gain greater visibility across critical operations – from inventory, people and transactions to physical assets.
By connecting data, devices and frontline workers, organisations can access actionable information that supports smarter decision-making, faster responses and improved productivity across the business, from the front end through to the back end.
Importantly, the experience will continue to evolve.
“In this new world-class facility, we are focusing on showcasing Zebra Technologies’ solutions for manufacturing and warehousing, retail, healthcare and logistics, adding enormous value both to Rectron as a distributor and to our partners,” says Fatima Khota, category head: automation and data capturing at Rectron.
“The space will continually be updated and refreshed, giving customers the opportunity to experience the latest deployment solutions and, importantly, understand how these technologies can be applied to solve real business challenges.”
The Rectron Experience Centre brings together solutions relevant to four key sectors, allowing visitors to explore how connected technologies can address specific operational requirements across their businesses.
- Manufacturing and warehousing – Visitors can explore how intelligent technology can improve efficiency across the plant, support smarter production, enable more accurate fulfilment and enhance service delivery. From the production floor to the warehouse, the centre demonstrates solutions designed to increase visibility, streamline workflows and put the information frontline workers need directly into their hands.
- Retail – The retail environment demonstrates how technology can support employees, strengthen customer engagement and provide greater visibility and control across inventory and operations. Visitors can experience solutions spanning frontline engagement and inventory management through to the broader retail supply chain.
- Healthcare – The healthcare experience showcases how connected technologies can put accurate, timely information into the hands of medical, emergency and other frontline personnel. From medication administration and specimen tracking to mobile information access and workforce productivity, the solutions demonstrate how technology can support improved patient care while helping organisations optimise operational efficiency and IT costs.
- Logistics – The logistics environment demonstrates technologies designed to improve material handling, information access and asset management across the logistics ecosystem. With greater visibility and real-time access to critical information, organisations can explore ways to move goods more efficiently, manage assets more effectively and make faster, more informed operational decisions.
