Honor has announced the MagicOS 8.0 for the Honor Magic V2 Series.
Based on Android 14, MagicOS 8.0 brings an AI-powered intent-based user interface (IUI) with features like Magic Portal. It also brings a wide breadth of user interface, performance, privacy and battery efficiency improvements to the flagship smartphones, empowering users with better productivity and offering greater convenience using on-device AI.
Magic Portal supports over 100 popular apps, and interactions are compatible with apps such as LINE, WhatsApp, Google suite apps, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and eBay.
MagicOS 8.0 on the HONOR Magic V2 Series smartphones also offers platform-level personal assistant capabilities to scan app content and summarise events, meetings, notes and other interactions in “My Day” to provide a clean overview.
MagicOS 8.0 includes Magic Capsule, a feature that allows users to expand banner notifications on both outer and inner display to access additional information related to the notification.
The Ultra Power Saving Mode adds a new toggle that gives users the options to minimise battery consumption.
Users can create custom shortcuts by pressing and holding on to their desired apps.
